After more than two decades of dedicated service to EDC, we announce the well-earned retirement of Gareth Williams. Gareth’s journey has taken him from the mines of Zimbabwe, through significant geotechnical projects in the UK, to making a lasting impact here in New Zealand.
Since joining EDC in 2003, Gareth has been much more than a technical expert—he’s been a mentor, a leader, and a true champion of our people and values. As Director and later Managing Director, Gareth’s vision and commitment have shaped our organisation, from guiding us through Christchurch’s earthquake recovery to establishing our Whakatane office and supporting our teams across the country.
Gareth’s unwavering dedication, integrity, and genuine care for his colleagues have left an indelible mark on EDC. We are grateful for his leadership, wisdom, and friendship, and we wish him every happiness in this next chapter.
