On Friday, 21 November, we marked 10 years of working alongside ElectroNet with a proper Christchurch afternoon out—the E² Invitational at Warren Park, followed by a well‑earned wind‑down at The Good Home, Wigram.
Warren Park served up blustery conditions that made every throw interesting. Mixed EDC–ElectroNet teams played under Ambrose rules with a shotgun start, so the course was full of friendly rivalry, a bit of strategy, and plenty of laughs. Drives that started as hopeful fades sometimes turned into glorious slices; putts that looked certain were suddenly at the mercy of a gust. In other words: perfect disc golf weather for a celebration.
After the final basket, we gathered for prizegiving, recognising the standouts across the day, from best team name and longest drive to most outrageous shot (and yes, the winning team). Then it was drinks and good food at The Good Home, where stories from the course quickly turned into stories from projects and sites over the years.
This wasn’t just a tournament; it was a chance to celebrate the relationships and teamwork that have underpinned our shared projects across Aotearoa. Massive thanks to ElectroNet for turning up with great energy on the day, and for a decade of trust, collaboration, and getting things done together.
Here’s to the next chapter.
