EDC is a medium-sized, multi-disciplined engineering consultancy providing clients with an innovative, reliable, friendly service and creative solutions to ensure a smooth pathway from conception to completion.
We have offices on Auckland’s North Shore, Whakatane (Bay of Plenty) and in Christchurch.
Our services cover structural, geotechnical, civil, environmental and fire engineering for land development and building projects large and small.

From initial concepts to detailed design our civils projects include land development advice for a range of project types, including earthworks, stormwater drainage, water supply and environmental performance.
STRUCTURAL
Highly experienced in a diverse range of small to large-scale projects, our track record for engineering excellence includes work on: multi-storey apartment buildings, offices, warehouses, factories, churches, schools, community facilities and residential projects.
ENVIRONMENTAL
EDC’s specialists in sustainable design and land contamination marry the need for safe, future friendly sites and development economy. From contaminated land studies, site remediation, energy Efficiency design to sustainable infrastructure.
GEOTECHNICAL
Our team undertake geotechnical assessments and risk mitigation design for a diverse range of geohazards, including erosion, ground strength, liquefaction risk, slope stability, settlement analysis, ground improvement, retaining wall and pile design.
FIRE
We provide this essential service to a range of construction projects including: New commercial and multi-unit title residential properties, existing buildings under renovation, buildings with a proposed change of use, fire protection upgrades to systems in older public buildings and fire design for community buildings, schools, churches and childcare centres.

Land Developer

Our clients benefit tremendously from our knowledge of council regulations, particularly in the early stages of project planning.
