The Role
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will join our Auckland Civil Team and support the delivery of high quality consulting services across a range of land development and infrastructure projects. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience while building your technical capability and professional confidence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting civil consulting engineering work across stormwater, wastewater, water supply, and roading infrastructure
- Assisting with the design of land development and commercial development projects
- Preparing design drawings, reports, and documentation for resource and building consent applications
- Contributing to infrastructure investigations, concept evaluations, and construction monitoring
- Carrying out site inspections to help maintain quality control during construction
- Assisting with bulk earthworks, sediment control drawings, and volume calculations
- Working closely with clients, contractors, and other consultants as part of project delivery
What we’re looking for:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), or a similar qualification, or be close to completing your degree
- A good understanding of software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional approach when dealing with clients and contractors
- Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire to grow as an engineer
- A collaborative team player who contributes positively to team culture
- A full, clean NZ driver’s licence and the right to work in New Zealand with no restrictions
