Requirement:
EDC were engaged to complete the structural design for a new public storage facility located on a greenfield site. The main features of the facility were a lower level storage area formed by cutting into the existing natural slope and a three-storey office facility fronting the building.

Challenges:
To develop a cost effective solution for both the low-level structure and the three-storey facility at the front of the site.

Challenges Met:
The engineering aspects of the work was relatively straightforward however it was necessary to work closely with the architect and the proposed contractor to develop effective and build-able solutions that satisfied the clients requirements.
