We are proud to have contributed to the success of Boathouse Bay, a cluster of 33 townhouses developed in a unique coastal setting in Snell’s Beach. The cluster has collectively been announced as the winner of Home Magazine’s Home of the Year.
EDC’s initial structural engineering involvement was for construction monitoring, and in the latter phases of the development we also took over a design role. This included bespoke bracing solutions for the largest buildings in the cluster – a pair of three-storey tower houses. We are proud to have been able to achieve the architectural vision for high ceilings, open spaces and boatshed aesthetics, and pleased that the developer was impressed by our structural services to award us the design role for the latter stages.
