Elizabeth Creek

Geotechnical Team Leader
Bay of Plenty
MSc(Geological Engineering), CMEngNZ, (PEngGeol)

Elizabeth joined EDC in late 2023 as the team lead for the Bay of Plenty geotechnical team. Originally from the US with a background in environmental remediation and dam construction, she moved to Christchurch in 2011 to help with rebuild efforts related to the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence. She has spent most of the past decade working primarily within the Christchurch region in foundation design and forensic geotechnical engineering on a wide range of projects, from small-scale residential elements to large subdivisions and Importance Level 4 structures, as well as works through the Ministry of Education.

Part of New Zealand’s Rapid Post Disaster Building Assessment team, Elizabeth can be called upon as a technical specialist to review land instabilities on commercial, industrial and residential buildings following natural disasters across the country.
